How to Polish Aluminum in 4 Steps
Now that your supplies are gathered and ready, you can move on to polishing your aluminum. Here are the four steps to polish your aluminum.
Step 1. Clean the Aluminum
First, you will need to clean your aluminum. Slip on your gloves and eyewear and get to cleaning! Use your rags, soap, and water to deep clean your items. You will also want to ensure your items are dry before moving on to the next step.
Step 2. Sand The Aluminum
For the next step, you will want to sand the aluminum. This is where you will bring out your sander and get to work; don’t forget your protective eyewear! Once you are done sanding, wipe down your aluminum to ensure all the loose particles from sanding are off.
Step 3. Buff the Aluminum
The third step is to buff your aluminum. Apply some aluminum polish to your items using some steel wool. From there, you can use your buffer to buff out your sanded aluminum.
Step 4. Polish The Aluminum
The final step is to polish your aluminum. This is where you can finally apply the polish and rub it into your items. Using a clean cloth or rag, rub the polish into your aluminum, and be sure to get in all the nooks and crannies.
