[March 4, 2020 – Tampa, FL] Tampa Steel & Supply, a local veteran-owned metal service center, has been certified by the Hillsborough County Public Schools Office of Supplier Diversity (OSD) for participation in the Small Business Encouragement (SBE) program.
The SBE Program helps qualified local small businesses succeed by encouraging district staff, vendors, contractors, consultants, and bidders to use businesses registered with the OSD. The program is gender and race-neutral, and additional benefits include pre-bid notifications, accounts receivable lines of credit, business development assistance, and access to pre-project briefings and networking opportunities.
“We’re excited to have been certified for the SBE program,” said Tampa Steel & Supply (TSS) CEO & Owner Troy Underwood. “Hillsborough County Schools is a great partner, and we hope to use our new status to expand and deepen our business relationships with the District and its excellent network.”
TSS has supplied Tampa Bay Area businesses with metal goods from structural steel to wrought iron since 1983. They recently added a CNC Plasma Cutter to their warehouse, allowing them to produce precisely cut custom metal components and art. For more information please visit https://tampasteel.com.
